reminiscin part 2

Once there lived a kind lady farmer in a not so faraway land. She lves the soul and the plants and obviously she's got all the expertise- there was to know in sowing and growing all green things.

One day, an old hermit came to pass by the kind lady farmer's house. He was so weak and tired and so he asked for water. The lady farmer readily let the old man in to rest and provided him of the things he needed.

The time came when the old man had to leave. He thanked the kind lady farmer and as a gift, handed to her 83 seeds. "These are magic seeds", he said. "They grow by themselves. And when the right time comes, they will be your source of pride and joy." With that, the old man left leaving the kind lady farmer puzzled.

"How on erth could there be magic seeds?" the lady farmer asked herself. So she planted all 83 seeds and yet cared for them like real seeds, not magic ones. She watered them everyday, talked to them and dealt with all 83 like real people. Their growth was far more than just good.; they were all fast-growing to become beautiful plants. And soon thereafter, the lady farmer realized that the seeds seemed to have minds of their own: some refused to hear her words and yet the rest would often heed and follow.

Years passed in the not so faraway land and people of the town were amazed to see sixty-eight beautiful sturdy trees surrounding the kind lady farmer's house.

There need not be old hermits traveling, or magic seeds for us to become strong, mighty, sturdy trees that we are right now. It was the kind-hearted lady farmer who unconditionally made us become what we are today. There might be times when our pranks and mischief became too hard to reconsider, but the kind lady farmer's heart was a heart of a mother always willing to take back, accept once more and reconsider. The lady farmer was too good to be true but then her motherly presence touched our lives with such spontaneity and warmth that made us go through the seasons of our four great years in CPMT. Our childishness, irresponsibility and our passion for things speeled F-U-N were always there trying to block our paths, but kind lady farmer was always there to fish us out just in the nick of time.

Yes, indeed, lady farmer Rivero is one of a kind. Your love is a bounty, your patience always an extra mile long. You believed in us when there was no one else left to trust our capacity. Yours were the busiest hands in the department, yet with your motherly goodness you always try to find time to hear your children's cries. You were never swayed even when people try to belittle us. You welcomed their opinions but never used them against us.

To the CPMT faculty and staff, your're the anthropoids of our lives..the bees and the butterflies that made our growth far more easy and comfortable. Of course there were "ouch"-y times but we co-existed nonetheless. No hard feelings. You needed us and we needed you to survive.

To the Augustinian community, you were the fertilized soil that made our growth even more possible. You helped made us who we are today - trees deeply rooted with Augustinian values and principles.

To the old hermit who believed that there is magic is us, our parents, your unending support in all occassion was nevertheless as immeasurable as your love for us. You were and still are the truest believer, you never doubted us. You're always proud of us.

And finally, to God Almighty, our sunshine and rain, our morning ang night. The reason for our existence, all there we raise in your name!

Indeed, thak you's are never enough to show how deeply grateful we are for the bounty we have received in our lives. Blessings are always too plenty, our ten fingers are not enough to count them all. All these graces and blessings we've received are meant to be shared with others. We will bear fruit and we will share them. However not enough, we, the 68 beautiful sturdy trees, with humble hearts, say for the nth time...THANK YOU! =)
