Lately, Ive been receiving a lot of messages (sms, email, fs/fb) from my friends. One email I received had this message:
The version found written on the wall in Mother Teresa's home for children in Calcutta:
People are often unreasonable, irrational, and self-centered.
Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives.
Be kind anyway.
If you are successful, you will win some unfaithful friends and some genuine enemies.
Succeed anyway.
If you are honest and sincere people may deceive you.
Be honest and sincere anyway.
What you spend years creating, others could destroy overnight.
Create anyway.
If you find serenity and happiness, some may be jealous.
Be happy anyway.
The good you do today, will often be forgotten.
Do good anyway.
Give the best you have, and it will never be enough.
Give your best anyway.
In the final analysis, it is between you and God. It was never between you and them anyway.
my reflections:

--> I am also guilty of being unreasonable and irrational and self-centered at times. I guess that's human nature.

--> There are just some people who would rather find the bad in other people, but as long as you do what you do wholeheartedly without any ulterior motive, there's nothing to be afraid of.

--> "honesty is such a lonely word" as the song goes (yes ez, what a lousy song choice...hahaha). In a world where you can't be sure of the people around you, it's difficult to be true to yourself without thinking of how others will see you.

--> It takes years to build a relationship but only a small thing to shake your world. I've learned this the hard way...twice. I'm not giving up though. I will still create something wonderful in due time.

--> people will always find something to criticize about what you do..you might think you gave your best (and you have) but there will always be some people who will say "you could have done better". let them be. better yet, let them do it and be the one criticizing their job (LOL)
In the final analysis, it is between you and God. It was never between you and them anyway.
--> Truly, God is the only one who can judge us. Let's do all the good we can for He knows what's in our hearts and in our minds.
